Miniature twin launch engine
« on: December 21, 2009, 05:46:00 PM »
Gentlemen, this is a model I made for the Sherline contest quite a few years back. I took the drawings for the Stuart Twin Launch and scaled them down. Most of the bolts are 1x.25 mm. That's an American quarter in front of it.

Wow. however do those Americans get those 8" dia Quarters in their pockets?

That's a seriously nice bit of work George.

I was wondering if I used the the same quarter as him!

Beautiful craftsmenship there George.

That quarter thing reminded me of an April Fool joke pulled in a model railroad amgazine. Somebody had built and HO scale engine and placed it on a very large reproduction of a coin. They claimed is was a new micro minuature scale. The detail was outstanding. Had many fooled for a while.

Hello, this is my first posting here. I just wanted to say this is a wonderful engine. I'd be interested in the scaled down plans for it too, if available.

Hello and welcome to the collective kno3.  :borg:

I don't believe there are plans available in the scaled down version. I believe george took the orginal Stuart plans and made his model from that only smaller.

Here is the company that has the Stuart 10 that George scaled his mdoel from. It's the third picture down. Don't know if you can just get the plans.

Regards,
Bernd

George

I don't know how I missed seeing this when you posted it George. If I didn't know your capabilities I would be tempted to believe that the Quarters were larger than life. Very nice work on that engine.  :ddb: :ddb:

Cheers
