My First turning (what i'm about)
« on: March 09, 2010, 03:07:21 PM »
i'm putting this up because i thought it might help members understand how i have arrived at this forum and also assmall as it is i am really proud of it even though my friend david was watching me carefully to make sure i didnt do anything silly

the top part of the whistle was missing apperently a common occurence with this model unfortunately the manufacturer went out of buisness 50 years ago so the part had to be made.
Here it is sitting proudly in its proper setting.

Welcome to MadModder David. You have made a fine start in machining parts for steam engines. While it might seem intimidating at first, remember it is only a bunch of parts assembled that make the engine so you make them one part at a time. We will be waiting to see what future projects you undertake. Thanks for sharing this first part with us.  :ddb: :ddb:

Cheers
