G'day
« on: March 24, 2010, 08:17:01 PM »
Hi everybody, I'm another steam addict.
I'm a retired truck driver (semi's and road trains), I have no trade as such, self taught with stick and mig welding, I gained a lot of mechanical know how from my various jobs and owing my own trucks for a number of years.
I restored stationary engines before becoming interested in steam (toy size) and have recently completed building a traction engine.
My shed (shop for you blokes in the US) is set up with a small mig welder, ozy set, lathe, drill press, power hacksaw, grinders etc. no mill yet. It serves my purpose, the 1/4 ton mono rail hoist isn't used now much now though.
I found this site thanks to David (stilldrilling) so you can blame him,  :)
If it aint broke, don't fix it!

BK, welcome to the ward eerrr, collective. As you are retired, we know how that works, you will have lots of time to search out all the "mill for sale" advertisements.  Good luck finding the perfect mill.  PICTURES!!!! PICTURES!!!!!
