Sahrp YC MIlling machine advice needed.
« on: April 10, 2010, 12:46:27 PM »
Hi guys.

I have a question. I am right now in the process of purchasing my new milling machine and there is one for sale here on Craigs list, it’s a Sharp YC 9x42 Kneehigh mill, looks all round good shape but no tooling with it.

Does anyone have experience with this mill?, is it solid and does it perform well? I am looking for quality. Allso it’s a three phase and I only have 240vt power what is the ball park figure for the converter? And lastly what is the ball park cost fitting out a DRO on this size machine.

BTW its going for $2000.00 which I think is quite cheap. Here is the link of the machine.

Many thanks       Anthony.
If you cant fix it, get another hobby.
