Hello everyone, from Nova Scotia
« on: May 04, 2010, 07:52:00 PM »
Been looking and reading and like what i have seen so far. I own a Taig , and an AA109 Craftsman lathe. Making tools and mods is my hobby. Hope to learn lots of new things here.
                                                        Thanks

Hello Eric
My Interests at the moment are building tooling and mods for my lathes.I have a few big blurry pictures of my progress with the Taig so far since I bought it last fall. Once I resize them I will post them

Johnny

Welcome to MadModder John. Always glad to see another Canuck join up. Looks like you have got a good start with the lathe's. If you have any questions just ask. There is always someone around to answer or at least give an opinion. I look forward to seeing some of your projects as they develop.  :D :D

Be safe, have fun and enjoy the forum.  :mmr:

Cheers

Hi Johnny,

Welcome to the collective.  :borg:

I've got a AA109 also, but it would probably only good for parts.  :(

Ok, by gear assembly, do you mean the gears them selfs or what holds the gears? I'd more than happy to send them to a good home.

BTW, I'm in New York state. How'd that work with sending parts over the boarder to you?

At the back of my headstock there is only the end of the spindle sticking out. No gears, nothing to hold the gears..Anything I have bought across the border always came UPS.

Yup, we took the Scotia Prince out of Portland, Maine (my home state) to Yarmouth. We drove up Rt. 103 to Hallifax then back down to Yarmouth via 101. We are anxious to go back!
