Another newbie gets hooked!
« on: August 18, 2010, 12:01:09 AM »
Hi all, I am an old 72 year old, retired guy who likes to model railroad items in 1.6" scale and am always looking for ways to solve problems and acquire new skills to accomplish that task. I look forward to picking up some ideas from this forum. I am listing a couple of photographs of my 1.6" scale Northern Pacific S4 (ten wheeler) locomotive that is under construction and my, almost complete, wooden caboose that took a couple of awards at the NP convention that was held here in Spokane, WA in July.

Don't know why images did not come up, but, you can see those photos in my gallery.
Please see my gallery at: http://picasaweb.google.com/pedminster Best regards, Phil Sr.

I want it to look as good as it runs and run as good as it looks!

Welcome to MadModder Phil.Sr. I have had a quick peek at a few of your pictures and they are quite impressive. I have not seen them all but I will return later when I have more time. We certainly are glad to see you on the forum here and I am sure that many will appreciate the skills you bring to the forum and will be only to happy to share their knowledge with you.  :D :D

Thanks for the good words Don. The only problem I see that I am not makin' chips while checking all these posts.  :) However once I am done things should go faster, right? Maybe I will take a break and meet some friends for a
