Manchester science and industry - no steam!
« on: October 11, 2010, 07:59:23 AM »
Call me a Sado, but I'm currently stood in the powerhall at the museum only to learn that the boiler has been removed and cuts from the council mean there are
no plans to replace it! They have basically pulled it out to add a
conference hall and put all their money into that, with
no money left to reinstall it. Did others know about this?

I hadn't heard that, but knowing how councils work, it doesn't surprise me in the slightest. The only hope would be to arrange to raise the funds privately, with the museum.
Cheers!
Ade.
