Midlands where? It's a big place.

I could be classed as living in north midlands or south north west, but would get rather annoyed if people called me a Brummie or a Scouser.

No offence intended to Brummies or Scousers, I'm sure you wouldn't like to be called anything else.

Hi Bry

My 6309 finally gave up the ghost (the one that you re-lumed the dial and gave me- gratis!!), it received a massive 'bash' on my garage door but was still going for a few hours, all power ceased though by the evening and all efforts to coax it into life have failed ::)

I have a dress6309 with crown @4 o'clock that i may fit in or alternatively i have another 6309 divers watch with a crusty old dial, i could place your dial on that..

It wasn't going to last much longer as the winder tube was on it's last tiny bit of thread- it's like losing a near and dear one :(

The dead one..

BLackpool illuminations!!!

The 'other' one!!- Feeble by comparison, though the hands seem a better match!

Cheers, John :)

Sorry to hear the bad news John!

Any interest in having the 6309 cushion cased DLC'D at trade price? :D

Also the best place for NOS 6309 movements is Yorkshire watches price around £43.

Do you have any spare bezels I can try as I have a very loose 6309 bezel case fit here?

Hello Bry

Sorry i'm not familiar with the term DCL'D

Being a Yorkshireman, i like cheap!! rather than buying a movement, i have this and my use it as a donor (when i get around to doing it!!

It's not seen in the pic but the winder is @ 4o'clock so it should be OK..

Sorry Bry, i only have the two divers and no spares :(

I got the parts for mine from a chap in Norway (can't remember his name but he's on TZUK a lot) and the rest of the parts (ill fitting hands) from Ramon (the watch collector) in Hawaii (or some other exotic location), through Ebay...

John :)

Arr oks no worries,

Yep those 6309 dress watches have nicely hidden crown.

Am 99% sure you can now buy 6309 hands and crowns direct from the Romford firm.
