Why IS that...?
« on: January 12, 2011, 03:36:04 PM »
So, I'm waiting for a part to get cold (and, hence, smaller, in the freezer), and I got to wondering....

Why is Loctite "Stud Lock" supplied in bottles with screw-on tops?
Why is the same manufacturer's "retaining compound" (used to retain push-fit cylindrical things) supplied with a push-on top?

Are they actually designed to try to glue the lids to the bottles? What gives...?
Cheers!
Ade.

Hi

I guess that is part of their ongoing testing program and quality control. If it fails to lock the cap on before the tube or bottle is empty than the product may be suspect.

Cheers
