My way to make an steaming equipment
« on: January 23, 2011, 03:26:54 PM »
Good evening gentlemen.
I thought that I should show you my progress for making my steaming equipment.  I alredy have shown you my steam engine, but here it is.

It's a nice little v-2 running pretty well.

Then I started to work on the hand-operated feedpump..

Now I was trying to figger out how to use this in a real steam-world, so I dessided that on the low side, I should choose to take water either from the watertank ore from the condensor (not built yet).
Then on the compression face, I like to choose, if the water should go to the boiler ore to the condensor.

So it means I have to make som globe valves

The feedwaterpump, globe valves and tees are casting brought from PM Resarch Inc

To complete it will take a long time but I will take one step at the time.
Thanks for reading my broken english . :bang:

Thank you gentlemen, I will try to make a small video, but I have not yet build the boller so it have to bee with air.
What I forgott to explane is that parallel to the hand feedpump, I will try to build a steam feedpump. My idea is like the real world. When they just have started the boiller there was of course no steam so they have to feedthe boiler with a electic pump(my handpump), when they got the steam, they run the boiler with the steam feedpump.
In my younger day's I was in the Swedish navy, and the last ship was an very old steamer (with a enormus 2 cyl engine).

I am trying to remember that system.  :smart:
