I'm just waiting on Stew to let me know if we will be going, but if all is OK, same time and place as last year.

Yep, I`ll also be going. I went on the Sunday last year on the last minute with my wife and daughter which restricted by wandering and buying considerably. I have learnt my lesson - I also better get a secret saving stash going in preparation.

Can't remember when I went last year, think I was on my own but can't quite remember!

Might take wife and kids and even camp over, or just go on own for a FULL day. I keep getting frustrated not having enough time!

If most people are going on the sat I'll go then too

Can I have Castrol R and save it for later ?   :headbang:

Saturday is a far better day than Friday, Friday is always manic as a lot of people try to beat the weekend rush, not realising they are the rush.

Mind you I have noticed that it seems to be leveling out a bit over the last few shows, perhaps others have managed to work it out as well ?

Haha, I've just got that!  :palm:

Sounds like it's Saturday then.

I've just got 100 squid to spend for my birthday - money towards a rotary table or QCTP? I could (could I?!) make a QCTP and it'd only give me increased speed but a rotary table would give me increased capability!

hmm, or £100 towards a DRO - that's quite a long way off a DRO though!

Thanks John, MMMMMMMMMMMMMcastrol RRRRRRRRRRR....

and Mr Stevenson is right again I went for a few years on a saturday thinking everyone would be in work but as the hobby is made up mainley of old Farts they all go on a friday thinking they are giving things away then, they dont seem to have the bargins the way they did in the past (oh god now I sound like an old fart).anyway it was the boss of Arc that put me stright and it was far better, still busy still got wacked in the face by bags full of metals and stood on though.

I'll probably try for it this year.... Failed last year due to cash flow etc.

If I do I'll make sure I get to see who is there...

Peter,
How about a few flashing strobes on poles from the 4 corners and a cattle prod for good measure?  :zap:     Seriously.... I'm sure I can organise some sort of baton  :poke:

John,
You could make a mint while just letting the machines run their demo's.... If it were just making an insert to be pressed into the centre of a rimmed flywheel then you could stick 2-5mm plates together and make doubles for twice as much profit     What is the preferred material John? Brass, ali or steel? 3-4" rounds?

DRO's... Yes, that's the purchase of the year if I can afford 'em?  I'm going to have to finally pull my finger out and sell the Champion mill and the peatol lathe.... Also got a circle cutter!! Anyone need to make 18" radius circles from upto 4mm sheet!!  :bugeye:  (It's a complicated error I made!)

Anywho.... We shall see!

Ralph.
I know what I know and need to know more!!!

Are you really sure you lads want to meet up at the Arc Euro stand?

That side of the show gets packed solid even when the show is closed, can you imagine what it would be like with a load of people blocking up the aisle for an hour or so.

Think of the logistics my dear friends. :smart:

At least two, maybe three disabled buggies or wheelchairs, and I suspect over a dozen bodies, complete with encumberances.

That was why I suggested the Chester stand last year, purely because a few of us could stand on the large machine area itself, in an attempt to keep the aisles clear, plus it isn't far to nip out for a quick smoke if the need arises.

It doesn't have to be the Chester stand, but somewhere where we won't bring the whole lot to a standstill, and the main entrance hall is really the only place that has the spare space.

You're probably right, isn't the arc stand just on the left as you go in? Think it will be a bit congested there, their sales would probably plummet with us lot standing / sitting around! :palm:
