Definition by example
I had became confused when I heard the word 'service' used with these agencies:
Canada Revenue Service
Canadian Postal Service
Provincial Telephone Service
Cable, Satelite TV Service
Civil Service
Federal,/ Provincial, Municipal and Public Service
Customer Service and Immigration Service
This is not what I thought 'service' meant.
But today, I overheard my two farming uncles from Saskatchewan talking, and one of them said he had hired a bull to 'service' a few cows.
BAM!!! It all came into focus.. Now I understand what all those Canadian agencies are doing to us..
I hope that you are now as enlightened as I am.
It may be the same in other parts of the world.
