Notch / Miter Tubing at Low Cost
« on: March 21, 2011, 04:03:26 PM »
I'm a geeky type... and I like to write software.  I did some enhancements to tubenotcher software.  For anybody working with tubing, you notch or miter a tube for a tight fit of one piece of tubing to another. Software is free via the web. This software enables you to use your own printer to create full size paper patterns that wrap around the work piece.  Program runs in java inside of your browser.  If you don't have Java already downloaded, the program will attempt to load java automatically.  Apple computer users may have to download Java manually (see details & tester at http://www.cycle-frames.com/bicycle-frame-tubing/tube-notcher-support.html or at http://www.cobratorch.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=49&Itemid=59 )

There are a lot of enhancements here, let me know what you think...  For a cool feature, enlarge the cut tube larger than the base tube.

generic metal working tubenotcher (includes .dxf output option)

Bicycle Frame builder tubenotcher (includes some special bicycle specific joints including seat stays to seat tube)
