Hello from Oxford
« on: April 28, 2011, 03:56:10 AM »
I'm a long time lurker, thought I'd pop my head round the door and offer thanks for all the hints and tips I've learned from you all, especially Bogs (thanks John!). I'm an ex-engineer with a small mixed workshop for messing around with metal, wood and electronics. I've had a prewar Myford ML2 for decades, used for repair jobs and making misc widgets as required. I've recently upgraded to an ML7R and at last am enjoying making swarf without fighting the machinery. One day I might even make something useful with it...

Regards
Boz

Hi Boz,

I completely restored and old Myford ML2 from cracked and broken castings upwards and it served me well for many years, it now resides in a mates workshop, still doing stirling service.

I am sure you will pick up lots of hints and tips on here, everything from yo-yo's to complete restoration projects.
