Rules are we can't build anything else of hobby interest until said engines are done.

Yeah, like that's gonna happen...  I do want to keep working on my first engine and hopefully post pics of it finished.  I'll use the PMR kit project to keep both of us heading in the right direction.

I plan on contacting you after Christmas to take you up on that offer to visit your shop.  You can dig out all your toys and show me, and maybe that will pique your interest.   :whip:

Who said you have to follow the rules.  But  it will keep me more focused.

On the visit. Sounds good to me. Just don't make it on Cabin Fever weekend. We'll be gone that week end. Jan, 16 - 17.

Who is going to poke me with a pointy stick to keep me on track?

Bogs

Well now, since Eric just added another tool to the tool kit ( :poke:) we can all take a turn at poking you to keep you going. Or we can sent Ralph over give you a  :wack: to keep you going in the right direction. :)

But you must tell us what your doing so we can poke you.

Just what is needed, a pokey stick.

Don't worry lads, once I get into production again, you will get the full lot.

[snip]

Now for the project. My first hobby is model railroading, my second is live steam model railroading and I've always wanted to build a live steam engine to ride behind. The project is to take the old "CliShay" design and redesign it.

So Bernd, did you ever finish your Clishay redesign?  (I'm thinking of trying to build one but so far Live Steam has not republished the plans, and I am casting about for alternatives...)

JY,

I'm kind of embarassed to say this but I forgot all about that post. I had wanted to scratch build the Clishay. This was before I got involved with Mad Modder here. I got  :proj: and started so many projects that I can't recall which ones were started and which are sitting on a shelf hidding from me. I just recently got bit by the CNC router table bug again  ::) and want to build one of those.

But I have collected some alternative plans and ideas for the Clishay.

Check your PM.
