Removing knurled pins are they designed to be removed?

Maybe a daft question can knurled pins be removed without damage to the pin?  :D :(



Basically want to strip down the clasp below for DLC coating, it's part 16 that's the knurl pin I want to remove without damage if possible?

Its more likely to damage the usually softer material that they are inserted into. The reason for the knurl is to make them slightly over diameter so the grip in the hole. Removing and refitting will wear the hole so they won't grip as well each time they are re inserted.
