Thanks guys! Gears are a lot of fun to make, and nothing is more satisfying than seeing two gears mesh!  :D

doubleboost: Yes i have made gears once before, a bit bigger, about 120mm in diameter made it on a bigger mill with automatic feed!  :D


Henning: At the time i'm still an apprentice machinist and had to teach myself gearcutting(not something really impressing because all the formulas and explanations are out there) BUT! on the last term of school the project is likely to be a gearbox! So there is still a few that learns it the old way!  :D

We must never let the old ways die! Daily I work with CNC machines and they do make a lot of things easier! but manual machines is much more fun!  :D
