Site problems
« on: August 28, 2011, 08:07:39 AM »
Is anyone else having problems with the site in the last few hours?
I tried to right a reply to a thread but it went to a blank page with some error, so I hope this one gets through.

Hi Dave,

Yes, I quite often have problems getting on to the site, especially early to mid morning here in the UK.  I put it down to all the guys in the USA logging on in the late evening their time!!!     :zap: :zap:

Only now just got on to the site...

Regards

Peter

I had a bit of a problem this morning (Sunday, and in the UK), but all is well now. The error message was that the Small Machines Forum was having difficulty with the Madmodder server, so I think it was just one of those periodic glitches we suffer from.

Still, it gave me a chance to go and do something useful

I've cut the end off it twice, but it's still too short

Thanks,
Well at least I know it's not only me. Nothing worse than righting a reply, not copying it, then losing it when you go to post.

Yes the madmodder server is physically located in Canada don't know where but what I have read about the internet path ways and the routes the signals and data packets can take getting from point A to point B. I'm am sure that Irene and the ensuing weather storm is almost 600 miles wide. Is playing havoc, with the web!  So combining that with the server problems we have had recently, I am surprised that it can back up so fast!

Yes, we're having some difficulty today. Brass_Machine is trouble shooting - might be related to the hurricane as we have massive power outages all over the Eastern coast.

If it's within our control, we'll get it fixed asap.

Thanks for your patience!

We are having some problems... I will be rebooting the server tonight about 2am EST.

Please bear with us until then... we may be running a little slow.

Eric
