Attached Photo's will not allow whole post to be accepted
« on: November 18, 2011, 03:00:17 AM »
G.Day Each.
Can someone help with the following problem.
Recently when Posting to a project the following happens.
First if i just Post an article then all is OK.
But if i include a Photo in the attachments, then it locks up somehow.
I get a indicator revolving in the top left corner also a message informing me that i am awaiting  Madmodder reply.
The size of the Photo's is no more than 700K.
Is it me?
Is it my Photo?
Is it the Server?
Is it my Computer?
Is it the system?
Please someone help me to keep some kind of order to my Posts.

Gerry,

Try getting your pictures down to around 100K in an 800 X 600  pixel size size. That's the ideal size for attached pics.  I t sounds like your pictures are way to big.

G.Day Bernd,
Thanks for the comeback i shall try your suggestion.
The only thing i do not understand is that for the past 12 Months i have been submitting photo's as attachments to written articles with no problems until now.
I set my Camera to the lowest setting of pixel size.
I also realise that pictures are easier sent in a smaller package.

There are a few issues with the new software I guess. Eric has been working on them.

I use a software package called PhotoScape (freeware) that I reduce the picture size. It allows you to crop and reduce pixel size. I usally take pictures with the camera's highest pixel setting for detailed pictures then reduce them to 1200 X 900 for direct posting of pictures which I host on my web site and 800 X 600 for attachments. Seems to work pretty good.

If you need any more help just shout out and somebody will be along to point you in the right direction.
