Not really a refurb but..
« on: January 15, 2012, 10:06:29 AM »
When I bought my mill it came with a full set of homemade clamps for securing work.

For a while it all lived in a biscuit tin -

My neighbour made me a little wooden box with a separate sliding tray. I used some flightcase foam offcuts and came up with this -

Much better :)

David.

Still drilling holes... Sometimes, in the right place!

Still modifying bits of metal... Occasionally, making an improvement!

Thanks Dave,

I did a similar thing on an old narrow toolbox, think it used to house a cheapo socket set or suchlike.

I used some of the foam again and go all my milling cutters in there.

I agree! I think he could be quite useful, maybe I should go into production, theres nothing quite like creating order from chaos :)

and if you want some special bits to feel really cosseted, instead of Peli insert foam, you could use John Hill's method
