Drill press foot switch (safety)
« on: January 21, 2012, 07:09:30 AM »
Drill press foot switch safety.
I came across this nasty accident yesterday on another forum and today he posted photos of it. He was changing a drill bit and accidentally stood on the switch. If you have one (like I do) it's something to keep in mind as it only takes a second to loose concentration.

Here is the link to it.

  Mmmmm that's gonna hurt  :bang: I recon this guy still had the key still in the chuck when he tried to tighten up a drill bit by hand while switching on the power?

When I saw the photo I could almost feel it in my hand.
To go that deep I think your right about having it in.

He probably had nothing else to do while waiting hours in the ER.
