ROC (Radial Oscillating Cylinder)
« on: March 13, 2012, 11:06:56 PM »
Lex at swarfrat.com asked me if I'd like to beta build his upcoming Radial Oscillating Cylinder engine. After long careful contemplation lasting about
5-10 seconds I said ... well duh! This was a challenging build for a newbie like me but I would think a more experienced machinist/builder would also have fun with it.
Anyway here's a video of my build.

I'd appreciate any comments or feedback.

Nice running engine. Watching the rods on the crank is pretty mesmerizing. Yeah, it does have a nice sound too.

How did you get to be a beta builder for Lex?

Eric
Science is fun.

We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.

I had emailed him some questions while I was building the VATOC

and the Mill Spindle centering scope.

Later I sent him a link to the VATOC. He liked it and decided I'd be a good beta tester I guess.
Nice guy. Very helpful with questions.
