Woo! Happy birthday Eric!  :nrocks: :ddb: :ddb: :ddb:

40, eh? So, getting on for the Towering Inferno on your birthday cake, won't be long before Elfin Safety will refuse to allow that much flammable wax in such a confined space  :zap:

Still.... I'm catching you up fast...!
Cheers!

Nahhh .....  the more the better !

Firstly, it depends what they're made of

Secondly - get as many candles as you can! -  then you can do what the honourable gentleman from the Wirral did and melt them down and mix in some carrier bags and make yourself billets of machineable wax for your CNC !

Many thanks!

I only had 3 candles on the cake. We learned that 40 candles on a cake is a disaster from another birthday  big pool of melted wax on the frosting!

Have gotten any tooling yet... I haven't decided what I want yet. I am leaning to the 14" lathe bed for my 7x10.

To avoid the fire from the candles, change the number base!

Mate of mine turning 73 realised that it was 111 in octal and put three candles on the cake. Job done.  :smart:

For my 50th, my son bought me a workshop/ car, fire extinguisher.

I unwrapped it, just as the cake was presented, with a full compliment of candles.........  :bugeye:

It's still unused, in the workshop........
