A curse?
« on: May 19, 2012, 06:31:51 PM »
A sensible person would look at a pile of old nuts and bolts, worn out bearings and damaged pipe fittings, and just see something that needs to be to be thrown away.

Strangely, when I look at the same thing, all I see are....possibilities.   :loco:

I've got better things to do with my time, to be honest. But when the inspiration strikes, sometimes you just have to give in to it.

Don't know about a curse. Great looking piece! So you know that you aren't alone. Here is a friend that lives around the corner and up the block! Brown dog welding does some really outstanding TIG welding and some wicked nuts and bolts and stuff. You can say you and him are nuts for nuts and bolts!

A Gismo ??? If it has a flywheel or spins and is made with small parts. I'll take one! If it makes noise, moves, or requires frequent oiling and dusting it's a better deal yet. It's especially right if its shiny and bright; but if it's dirty and dull it wont mater at all...

Yes, I know Josh (BrownDog) from the stuff he puts up on Flickr. Nice guy, and as you say, an outstanding welder.
He sort of sets the standard for this kind of stuff.
