Jan Ridders glass cylinder IC twin
« on: August 04, 2012, 07:06:32 PM »
Thought I would stop by and share a picture of my recently completed engine. Jan Ridders prints are easy to follow and in my opinion, very original in design. I'd like to thank Jan for his generosity.

                                                                                                                    Regards Gary :mmr:

Hi Gary.
That's a fine piece of work you've done there!

I'm trying to visualise, just what it does........

I can see a spark plug, between opposing, geared together cylinders, and a "glass" fuel tank...... I think!

Do you have a video of it running?

David.

Still drilling holes... Sometimes, in the right place!

Still modifying bits of metal... Occasionally, making an improvement!

Very nice Gary,

I like Jan's engines, I am trying to design one based around one of his at the moment but making it easier for me to make!

Yeah, a video would be great!

Hello, David D & Nick,
I will try to get my son to help with posting a running video, my skills with that are poor to saw the least.
This engine has the cylinders & fuel tank made from 20mm test tubes. There are 2 cylinders opposed with 1 combustion chamber, rotary exhaust valve, check ball for intake valve, vapor fuel system, ignition system is self contained in the base.
                                                                                                                                                   Thanks, Gary

It looks fantastic Gary, have you sent the photos to Jan ... sure he will be pleased to see another example of one of his designs being made.
