Reeves usualy have a stand near the main entrance we could meet near there, tell em how crap their castings are , at about 12:00 noon.

I'll have a black baseball cap on. (To hide my shiney bald head)

It's on 8th to 10th May isn't it, or have I got it wrong ?, if this is right we'll need to firm up arrangements nearer the date I think.

John

Hope you feel better. I do understand about being in a car for a long time compared to a bike. Folks find it odd I would much rather do long distances on a bike... my hips can't handle sitting in a car for long periods of time. On a bike it is easier because of the seating position. No pressure on my hips!

Hi Stew,

High Noon at the Reeves Ranch sounds ok to me. It's usually a bit quietier around that area of the hall, so a group of us loitering about looking a bit shifty won't be too obtrusive? No prizes for guessing what type of Baseball Cap I will be wearing - but it's for the same reason.

Hey Eric, I'd like to visit the show on my Lambretta, but it'll probably break-down in at least one direction (Sometimes some of the bits have been known to go off in more than one direction) and it certainly won't stand the weight of me as well as all the goodies I hope to buy there. Whereas the van has a secret compartment, beneath the Bulkhead, behind the passenger seat that my beloved has not cottoned onto in 8 years. There I can conceal all sorts of things until the coast is clear to smuggle them into my El-Dorado undetected. She still dosen't know about my Conquest Mill, despite there being a big lump (no, not me) hidden under an old blanket.

Help! Paul

Lads,

Don't forget the piccies, lots of 'em, and don't forget to get some group photos, just to show the ones who can't be there what you all look like.

I'm missing it already.

I'll be there on Sat' too.... What's a Reaves?  Am I not in the know again?

I'll find it, even if I have to ask directions!!  ::)

I'll not be wearing a baseball cap, as it will make me much harder to spot! I am usually easy to find by anyone within 250 yrds 6'2", Glasses with kinda red hair!! (there's a piccy of me a few years back on here somewhere.... I look pretty much the same I think? )

I haven't done any reasearch into the show.... I'm just gonna turn up and take my chances with a big sign....   :nrocks:  Well, maybe not the sign.... Or the dancing! But I'll be there

Piccy's will be taken a plenty! No worries about that one (can't comment on the quality... But I'll take em  )

This should be good fun!    :mmr:    :D

It looks like I'll be there on the Friday :( but even that is in doubt at the moment. Tis a shame cos meeting up with Bogs, Ralph and crewcab at the midlands show made it a much better day for me... It's amazing the things you learn just by association with these guys!!

Oh yeah and you wont have any trouble spotting Ralph, he's the one in the banana suit.

Have a great time.

Last year at Harrogate, I told everyone that they would be able to recognise me by a light tan leather jacket. It was one of the hottest days we had, and I stood like an idiot in a leather jacket, sweat soaking thru it, waiting to meet all the people who said they would be there. I must have lost at least a stone in weight.

Next time I will colour my hair bright purple, then I wouldn't look such an imbecile.

Well just got the second of the two 17 tonners loaded, back home and parked up.
Got a case to pack, well cardboard box in my case, nip down the pub for a pint and a reet good curry so I can share it with the guys tomorrow - who say's I'm not generous ?

Thursday setting up and down to Old Mother Shiptons on Thursday night, back to Stalag Rex for 10:00pm curfew,     10:05pm twenty second fart that changes note 4 times and causes everyone to bang on the walls,     10:07 laugh myself to sleep................

Now If only I could find one by Saturday..... People would be stunned!!  :ddb:

Gutted your not gong to make it David (erm, for lack of confusion and the "yes I'm lazy" side of it... I'm now going to call sign you TS!  ) It was good to meet up last year, and the thing is we'd have a fair bit more to talk about this year too!!

Hey Roger   polished bananna!! Erm, anyway..... I'll have had a shower and maybe even a shave around the outskirts of my goatee!?  (as highly lustered as I get   !)

I do remember the discomfort you were in John..... It was thin Tshirt weather and even that was too much!!! Our meeting was cut short cause John was knackered!!
The purple hair sounds like a winner....  :headbang:

Stew, I do believe that they make purple wigs for those of you who may suffer folical issues.....

 http://shop.ebay.co.uk/items/__purple+wig_W0QQ_dmdZ2?rvr_id=&crlp=711635737_228459_228460&UA=WVF%3F&GUID=f1345d2a11f0a090b7074f27ffe44ec9&keyword=purple+wig&MT_ID=11&agid=273863557&ff4=228459_228460

I'm sure that one of those would get you noticed

Anyway.... Basically, I'll be there and very easy to find.... Although be careful... I did see one other guy there who appeared to be from my same ancestrial tribe!!!  :bugeye:

If you want to say hi before the scheduled meet then come and say hi..... I don't bite!  (even if I occasionally look like I might!  )

Looking forward to it more now  :nrocks:

I think I might be manning the club stand at 12 but if not I'll be at Reeves! I've just sold my Renault 5 GT Turbo ... think I better put the cash in the bank and not bring it to the show ...  :proj: could strike and the money could quickly disappear!    :nrocks:

Just enjoy yourselves lads, and don't push the plastic too hard, we are in a recession you know.

If you could do me a favour Ralph, remind Stew and his entourage that he has a bit of searching to do for me. He does have a habit of forgetting things. As a reward for him if he gets it right, can you show him the man who does the cheapo reground profile cutters.

I will be going to bed soon, to sulk because I can't be there with you.

Maybe next year.
