Messing around with a camera
« on: August 30, 2012, 07:13:01 PM »
Ralph (aka Divided He ad) paid a surprise visit tonight, kindly dropping off some lumps of metal he'd got lying around  :nrocks:

Anyway, as usual, we bantered on for ages about pretty much everything except machining; when we wandered outside at the end of the evening, it turns out to be a spectacular night on the docks. So I couldn't resist nipping home and grabbing the camera,

These are some of the results. I've just realised that I forgot to turn off the image stabilised lens, as it was on a tripod that's probably added some movement  :palm: If it's as nice out tomorrow night, I'll have another go.
Cheers!
Ade.

Nice photos, Ade.

I've never seen the Mersey estuary looking so limpid.

I've cut the end off it twice, but it's still too short

Thanks for the replies all, most encouraging! I will have to bore you all with some more of my snaps  :palm:

Bob - OK, I'll bite. How did you take a picture of your disassembled camera.....?

Dennis - yep, this is literally 10 seconds walk from my workshop door (and about 10 mins walk from home). Attached are similar views to the dark ones taken just now (there's a breeze today, hence the choppier water), and one showing where my workshop is in relation to the water.

Cheers!

Andy - I'll wave back. You'll spot me easily - I'm the fat lump in an office chair.....

Very tempted to make a set of spoked alloy wheels for it now....
Cheers!
