I fancy a change of Lath and have always fancied a ML10 dont know why but it's just one of them things the 7'S never did  much for me. maybe because it was a bit smaller I dont know.
any thought on them, anyone use one ?

Hi Peter,

I looked at the ML10 in great detail, many years ago, and came to the conclusion that it was just a smaller version of the 7, but made down to a price. Without all the bells and whistles (and in some areas, quality as well). Who would have thought of using the saddle winding handle as your screwcutting gauge. It is now a very dated design.

I think this will give you a deeper insight.

It now seems that the Sieg C4 and it's clones have cornered the market for that size of lathe. A real nice bit of kit if you are looking for an alternative.

Don't know much (well anything really) about the myford... however, I plan to get the c4 or the c6 maybe this summer. I don't think you could go wrong with either one. Hopefully Cedge will chime in with his experience with the c4 (I think)

Eric,

Is that c4 about the size of the Grizzly I have? It's a 9X19 I think.

I wonder if they've gotten better since I bought mine about 10 years ago?

Bernd,

Close. I think it is 8x?? I know it isn't the same as the 9x19... totally different machine.
