Good that someone helped. Pity the state won't help as the blind do need help and not have to resort to begging. So much for human empathy, animals are kinder.

100% Pete - Which is why I don't like it much, I know they are probably actors - but they are depicting a 'blind beggar'  and like you say Pete shows a lot for humanity.

Don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with the video and what it is trying to get over,  they just chose a poor subject matter as far as I am concerned.

It seems to have been made by an Internet advertising agency called Purplefeather (their italics) to promote a book about "the power of words". Presumably, the advertisement bit has been trimmed off the end, and it was posted in the hope it goes viral and generates business for Purplefeather. No doubt it has been a success for them.

I don't object to any of that, or to the subject matter, any more than I object to tearjerkers with similar themes of disability at the cinema or on TV. After all, most of those are produced to make money, too. I wouldn't choose to watch them myself, but "weepies" do have their fans.

I've cut the end off it twice, but it's still too short

If u really wanna see how beggers are treated.. dress down and sit on the street for a day.
They are spit upon, yelled at, kicked, punched, getting robbed by kids and shoved off by cops.

I was homeless for 7 months (between the age of 17 and 18) living outside and well while this movie is really making one think back.
It does not really reflect the reality. :/
