Flame Eater that quacked like a duck
« on: January 28, 2013, 01:31:58 PM »
A year or more ago, there was a video posted of a vacuume/flame eater engine, that when running, made a noise like a duck quacking. Anybody remember the builder, or the design of the engine? Flamenfressen, Poppin, Duclos?

I had it bookmarked but lost it in a hard drive crash.

That's the sound, David, but not the engine. I collected plans to build a fire eater because of the video in question. I know it was a common type, just can't confirm wich one! The video was also posted to you-tube but I haven't located it there either.
Could have even been one of Jan Ridders' designs.
On another note, anyone heard from Mad Jack lately? I pm'd him when I found his build thread earlier today, but he hasn't replied.
