Upside down Hello from Australia
« on: April 17, 2013, 10:36:19 PM »
Hello Everyone,

I've been lurking the forums every few days for a over a month now, and quite enjoy the madmodder community.

My profession is Civil Engineering, but I have fallen in love with metalworking, from my watchmaking hobby. I grew up working with wood from the family business, so I'm quite familiar with a lot machines and how they work. My father gave me the book, how to run a lathe by Southbend, I have also bought a few great lathe and metalworking books which I have absorbed.

I have recently acquired a Proxxon PD400 Lathe, and will start putting it to work. I wish to post up my experiences, and I appreciate all the advice.

Cheers,

Dean

Still drilling holes... Sometimes, in the right place!

Still modifying bits of metal... Occasionally, making an improvement!
