Newbie form northwest
« on: May 03, 2013, 12:57:27 PM »
Well I've been lurking the forum for a few weeks so I thought I had better introduce myself.

Im Andy, live in the northwest of the England and I've recently got a small lathe and mill. I'm still in the early stages of the hobby, with nothing but some small parts for my airguns made at the moment, but look forward to reading more and trying a few projects from the forum.

Hi AndyJ,

Welcome and join in. Ask any questions you like; myself excepted, there are plenty of folk on board who will know the answers.

North West UK? That puts you in the Hebrides, but judging by the flag you may be rather nearer to me!

I've cut the end off it twice, but it's still too short

Hi AndyJ,

Welcome to the forum. There are quite a few members in NW England. I've only been into model engineering for just over a year but I've found most people are very helpful and supportive of newcomers.

Hi Andy, I am also a newbie with a new lathe so you’re not alone.

Cheers Mick
