crucibles for metal melting
« on: January 01, 2014, 05:22:44 PM »
Happy New Year everyone
I was goofing around on the web and came across some of the postings on crucibles, and found it interesting reading
If I can help anyone in any selection for crucible products I am happy to do so. I actually work for the manufacture "Morgan Crucible", although the name has now changed to MMS, however Im a foundry guy and if I can help with any technical issues, please drop me a note

And if you having trouble sourcing product we can put you in contact with someone in your country which stocks product and can help you.

cheers

Welcome aboard bjf66

So where are they made now? Not still at the old Morgan Carbon factory in Battersea where I was offered an apprenticeship many decade ago as that's long been flattened and 'developed' !

I remember the old Morgan Crucible factory. I used to walk past it everyday on my way to school in Battersea High Street. I used to wonder what went on in there.

They also had a plant in Neston - never visited it but one of my greatest RNR skippers, Jim Ellis, was a manager there in the 1980s.
