  now tried some ba taps and 5ba is close but not perfect. 6ba too big. Yet the accessories from my baty guage fit- is there a standard guage thread? Mahr/federal site is unhelpful  re this.?

the guage I got at the weekend!

KRV any clues re thread ?

Regards

I've just been browsing my MSC 'Big Book' (12th edition).

I found a page that says, for Mitutoyo plunger gauges, the tip can be either M2.5 x 5 mm for Metric or 4-48 UNF for Imperial (i.e. inches).

Another page says that the screw-in stylus for Verdict lever-type gauges are 10 B.A.

The 'Big Book' also lists SPI and 'Value' brand gauges but gives no info in tip threads.
Best regards,

Pete W.

If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs, you haven't seen the latest design change-note!

:D Glad to say now confirmed the thread on the dial gauge is UNF 4 - 48. Thanks for the link to are euro, bought a set of them and fit is perfect.

Strange a metric gauge with imperial threads .The Baty gauge I have is the same .Possibly a standard size for gauges?

Hopefully I have now attached a picture of my newly obtained gas trolley?

Thanks for the help!

so is the "oil picture" an ultrasonic cleaner you got Bob or just one being used to clean the cutters?

Hope you're feeling better?
