Title: Camlock spindle specs
Post by: John Stevenson on July 31, 2013, 06:49:56 AM
Before I spend ages looking for the standards on the D1-5 Camlock specs does anyone have a copy or access to one.

What I need to know is, short of measuring everything up, The layout of the pins and lock screws and depths.

Also a drawing for the pins, good enough so I can make some new pins and backplates. I know the pins can be bought but I want to keep the thread the same as the ones I already have which is M12 x 1

Had enough problems when I had the D1-3 on the CVA with 3/8" BSF, 3/8" UNF, M10 x 1 and M10 x 1.5

I can go to my local library and get a look at the standards and photocopy 2 pages per trip but don't want to spend the best part of 1/2 a day if the standards don't give this information out.

I found that pair of files on a Chinese web site when I was researching the Traub spindle nose hoping to find an affordable 6" hydraulic chuck to replace the current J56 collets. Still not found one  :(

Did you get part 3 for the bayonet fitting ?

My next step was to ask the Chinese factory for the drawings, after all they must have all the specs.

No, I only found those two parts.

The factory may have the spec - but do they work to it   :bugeye:
