Title: Enigne\Frame for my off road buggy
Post by: jones on December 17, 2008, 04:40:31 PM
Hi,

I've been building an off-road buggy for a while (just started a project log in the projects section) and thought I would put the engine here.
It is a 2007 Suzuki GS-500F with only 9,500 km's (5,900 miles). 47hp, oil cooled, twin cylinder, 6 speed manual.

The bike as I bought it:

Partially stripped down:

Engine out:

I am putting ordinary car tyres on my buggy to save money, so I think this engine will be enough to do powerslides and drifting, since that's what I enjoy most.
Title: Frame for my off-road buggy

Hi,
I've started a thread in the projects in progress section, but thought I would put pictures of the frame here as well.

The frame is almost finished, and I am about to mount the engine. Since taking these photo's I have added a couple more bars to the front end and fully welded the rest of the frame (it is just tacked in these pictures)

Are you TIG or MIG welding the frame? If I can see right you must be TIGing the frame if that black box is any indication.
