Has anyone seen this?

Darren,

This is my opinion only. I can't see wasting money on something like that. To me it's just another electronic thing that can break and cost an arm and leg to get repaired. As I said it's only my opinion and it don't count for much. :jaw:

Bernd

In truth I can't see that it does anything that you should be able to do manually? If you can't then you shouldn't be machining anyway.

I was just wondering if I was missing something about this little tool, but I guess not?

If you want to build your own optical centering camera go here:
http://www.miketreth.mistral.co.uk/centrecam.htm (http://www.miketreth.mistral.co.uk/centrecam.htm)

These are not uncommon in large CNC shops and can be rather handy in speeding up set ups where time is money.

The shop built version looks to be interesting for the tinkerer in all of us. :dremel:

I have thought about building on for giggles... That and they make it easier to remove those metal splinters!
