Hello
Seems there are very few Modders from the Southern African region.
There are a few from South Africa, at least one from Namibia (good’un Arnold) and that seems to be that.
So if you are living in BOTSWANA, MALAWI, MOCAMBIQUE, ZAMBIA, ZIMBABWE, SWAZILAND, LESOTHO, (or anywhere else in the world), come and join us (we’re always coming apart on here) come and say hello we would love to hear from you.

Howzit Dave!
I am originally from Joburg, lived in Durbs for 10 years, then a 6 year stint in the Middle East and now in Canada!
Still go home to visit every few years!
It's always good to go back home and catch up with everyone.

 Good one Dave
Andrew has spoken up - but I know there are a few more SA based modders, as well as a couple more that came from SA but is now living abroad...
Haven't been able to locate anybody else from Namibia though
Kind regards, Arnold

Hello,
Born in Johannesburg, grew up in Pretoria, worked (for a well known earthmoving machinery dealer) and lived all over the old Trasnvaal before being tranfered to Spain. Now retired and living in Valencia. Have two brothers in SA that are also into modding (one is building a 5" scale class 15D), will see if they want to join in.

Born and belong to Dar-es-Salaam in Tanzania in E.Africa, through to Kisangani in the middle, to Kinshasa and Matadi in the West D.R.Congo. Enjoyed every minute of my past trading life in the region. Meet and dealt with many SA's during that time. Things were a lot more interesting then! :D didnt come across modders, but did come across some old dead railway engines.

Worked three times in Durban and bit over 100 KMsouth and almost the same north from 1995 to 1997. It was exciting times and RSA is very beautiful country. Liked the climate on the coast - just perfect. Was getting dangerous to have a family there - least if you didn't know all the intricaties there. Although I never had problem but once arrived to accomondation just 1/2 hrs "late" from gunfight that left several people dead. Nevertheless saw a lot of wild life - took a long walk every morning and have a lot of good memories.
I'm happy to hear positive news from southern africa.
