Title: In a state of shock.
Post by: shipto on December 11, 2015, 06:05:53 PM
Anyone who reads my posts will see that once or twice I have mentioned a friend of mine (usually to moan about the shop time he takes up needing help with quads, motorbike and various other things).
Had his sisters around tonight and he has been found dead in his car.
Complete shock to me I have known the bloke since we were 5 years old and been friends with him since secondary school and even though he was a pain in the butt at times he was a very good friend who would go way out of his way to help if I ever needed it.
I was supposed to go and help him get a wheel on a scooter tomorrow and was quite dreading it because of the temperature dropping but what I wouldnt give now for that to still be happening.
Nothing definate as to the cause yet but he had a few health problems over the last few years.
I am going to miss him.

I am sorry to hear this. I know what it is like to lose a close friend. You and his family have my deepest sympathies.

Sorry to hear about it, it seems like a lesson to be repeated often---- be  thankful for every day and enjoy it as much as possible, making chips makes it even better.

Shocking news Shipto, you get over it, but you never forget them. The unfortunate truth of life is that we will all lose a few friends along the way. Don't beat yourself up about thinking that he could be a pain sometimes, I think we all know exactly where you are coming from.

I never thought that I would be classed as a widower and the only grandfather left for our grandchildren. Please accept my sympathy and understanding.

Regards

Norman

Sorry to hear of your loss. Its difficult to deal with anytime but all the worse in the run up to the festive period. In sad way, it is a reminder to those he left behind to live life to the fullest as you never know when your time is up.

sorry to hear this.

Enjoy your friends whenever you can, feel no guilt - its a wasted emotion, they wouldn't want you to.

Helping others helps you, both mentally and sometimes physically

My condolences.  I am the last of three oldsters who used to be called 'The Three Musketeers', by our peers, and 'The Last of the Summer Wine', by the younger set.
I miss both of my mates, and it still feels kind of lonely, but the upside is, it stopped me drinking. No fun doing that alone.
Now I just remember the good times. It helps; lot.

Hope you can do the same.

Cheers
Wobbly
