Gentlemen,
 I have documented this build elsewhere and it's a lot of computer time doing it twice so I'll hit the high spots for everyone.
 This project has been in the wings for quite some time. I had acquired a set of Morton radial drawings many years ago and stashed them with my other drawings in the file cabinet with the idea of building one someday.
 Well someday is here. After going over the drawings there were quite a few things that I didn't care for so it was off to the drawing board to make almost a compete redesign. The only dimensions that stayed were the bore and stroke and the diameter of the crankcase.
 Some of the numerous changes are: moving the lifter/pushrods to the front of the engine, utilizing roller lifters, making screw together cylinders and heads, using a pressure/scavenge oiling system, moving the carburetor from the crankcase to the rear of the engine and changing the distributor from points to a Hall effect type.
 The first set of pictures show the finished main crankcase. It was cut from a block of aluminum. As with my other projects the detailing was stepped off by hand and then finished.

Next up was the outer crankcase half. This would be quite a bit simpler than the main case. This housing will feed the fuel through pipes to the cylinder heads. It also has bosses machined onto it to bolt some type of frame to it when finished.

The last piece of the main crankcase was the outer cover. This has a vertical boss for the distributor mount as opposed to the original horizontal one. It also has the carb and oil pump bosses machined onto it. The oil will collect in a small sump area visible on the bottom of the main crankcase from the first set of pictures. From there the oil will flow through an internal drilled passage to the return side of the pump. The outer housing of the pump will have the second stage (pressure side).

The final set of pictures show the three components bolted together. To give you and idea of the size the outer diameter of the crankcase is 1.875. Over the cylinders to the tops of the rocker arms will give a finished diameter of about 5.80 inches.

Wow thats a neat bit of maching George very nice indeed.

Looks like it will build up imto a great engine.
