If you spot the badge on Saturday, just say Hi.

The little dimples are where the paint has gone into the print as the layers didn't weld too well, the text was a lot taller but the paint wicked in quite a bit so sanding was pretty sever to get it clean.

Nice one Joules, but you need to add your name to it

Toying with the idea of going on Sunday but just bought a new house last week for me and the Delectable Debs ™ to move into so really need to get a bit of headway and get the heated slab in for the new workshop first.

I don't think there will be many sporting these badges, I printed 4 to get one good one !!!
:palm:

Had a super time Saturday, must be 10+yrs since I last attended a show and figured Spalding would be a nice little event. Nope, it was MUCH bigger than I expected and well attended.
A good line up of engines both outside the exhibition centre and within the gardens.

Inside was busy with stalls and visitors, my other half loves crafts and engineering (she having an engineering background and a liking for garden steam trains)
Plenty going on with a central live steam rail layout and a flying area for helicopter and indoor models. Good display across many disciplines,
-
The engineering quality was, well, awe inspiring and a healthy reminder of why I don't have the patience or skills to make these type models, believe me if I did, I would.

And finally, one of me looking longingly at a Louise Heloise French fishing boat, I have the plans for... At least this visit was partly to get on with such woody projects. I had gone specifically to look at Stepcraft CNC router kits and meet the UK agent Rory Stoney of Stoney CNC. Been chatting with him online regarding machines and getting tempted to move things here up a notch with maybe one of their Pro machines. Bit bigger version of the one in front of Rory and me.
Going to really make the effort to visit Doncaster exhibition when its on next month.
Nobody spotted my Mad Modder's badge, or perhaps they did, as I didn't have to push through the crowds :nrocks:
