Title: Turning
Post by: richburrow on May 09, 2011, 07:08:49 PM
Here are some of the lastest things that have come out of my shed.
Woodturning is my thing really, total relaxation, once you are turning nothing else comes into your head.
I love it hahahahah

Very nice wooden goodies there gents.  I assume you are using a wood lathe?

Hello.
I use a union graduate wood lathe, got a short bed and a 50" that I am restoring.
Bowls are my fav thing to turn, really relaxing :D
I have done a lamp before, didn't long hole bore though. I routed the cable slot and glued the wood together.
I have been off the lathe for a while, need to get things sorted out in my shed, I miss turning.

:D I use an old Myford wood lathe but admittedly not for wood turning, mainly for brush finishing watches cases(3 jaw and 4 jaw Myford chuck medium duty).

Brushed up a treat on the wood lathe:-  :ddb:

From crappy cast finish.

To nice brushed finish.
