Ikea Australia currently has the 'Janso' led worklamps http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/60169661/ (http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/60169661/) at $17 (down from 30) and harte http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/10266985/ (http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/10266985/) at $12
the first has been reviewed widely as a great workshop spot lamp, the second is slightly brighter and cheaper, but probably less practical.
- 'for a limited time only' - until 5/7

Appear to be £10 in uk

the 'Harte' style actually appears a little less bright, i think the colour temp is a little lower. the light is more diffuse, as it is a row of about 5 leds not a single. i found it illuminated my lathe quite well. the stand/arm is solid, with a small flexible section only at the top.
quite useful considering its price. (also, it is a USB device, so maybe useful to build into something that already has USB ports - relatively high powered though.

You could not pay me enough to go back near that place. what an infuriating place to shop.

It's pretty straight forward really - send your better half... (and with the money she saves on other stuff you can afford an extra...

My wife agrees with Tom and thinks the Ikea shops are Dantes Inferno :bugeye:
They make you snake all over the place past thing you don't want then inflict mighty long queues at the exit.
Me - I hate ALL shopping and do as much on line as possible, or delegate the task

Add another to the :bang: IKEA shops if you think they are bad try them in a wheelchair
