You lot all ok? It's been very quiet around here.
Maybe you are all out enjoying the summer.

Down here it's been a bit cold.. 0.1c walking to the station this morning..

Motivation seems to be stuck in the 'supply chain'

Weather, for july, is poor which doesn't help  :(

I’m still lurking

Actually just trying to get back in the groove, girding up my loins to return to trying to fix the turret on my Beaver TC20. CNC lathe. Suspect it the baldor SMCC  card. They are rarer than hens teeth and contain a custom control program. This card acts subservient to the main Siemens 820T control and drives the tool disk and driven tool motor.
I’ve sourced a slightly later version which is coming from the USA in a week or two so have been setting up Hyperterminal on an old Win XP laptop to hopefully program it when it arrives.

I am still working on my shop. Trying to get it to the point of where I can work comfortably.

I have gotten heavily into 3D printing and got me a couple of lasers, I keep getting distracted.

I am still here. I try to check daily...

I havent been able to do much as I moved house. It is taking forever to get the time to get the new shop setup. My lathe has only been powered on once in the past 3 years and that was to make sure it still worked!

Building shop storage and work benches have taken most of my time.

I've been tinkering with a record player turntable and arm made out of old hdd, pc monitor  bits and other 3d printed parts . I'll post a blog when I'm done.

My dream came true middle of last month.   Last chance to ever do anything like this, wife and me chipped in for a bit of slow touring.  Needless to say it has distracted me from other activities other than a bit of work for a few extras and petrol.

Just taking neighbour for a spin round the block.

Hi Russ it's a Pembleton T24 cyclecar, comes under light quadracycle class as well.   Meaning very lightweight, no roll bar etc.   A very accurate representation of a 20's car but with full independent suspension and front wheel drive. 744cc air cooled twin up front and the car weights 361kg dry.  It gets to 60mph pretty quick, with a top speed I don't care to find out.
